Jahally Rice Fields
A site famous for its astonishing range of waterfowls and waders, Jahally rice fields are 270km from the coast. This vast expanses of rice fields, ditches, scrub with mature trees are usually packed with all sorts of Waterfowls and Waders notably Ducks, Geese, Herons as well as wintering migrants such as Ruff, Collared Prantincole, plus native Marshland birds and seasonal migrant such as the Black Coucal (one of the specialities), African jacana, Winding Cisticola, Black Crake, Knob Billed Duck, Purple Heron, and the dainty African Pygmy Goose.
